How to play American Football
The casual version of the rules. log8 shows the same guide in the app, on the game's page.
- Players11 a side on the field. Flag and touch football often use 5 to 7.
- How to winScore more points than the other team by the end.
- The official gameThe NFL and college football each have their own rules. Games are four quarters of 15 minutes.
- How groups differFlag football has no tackles. You pull a flag from the player’s belt instead. Touch football uses a touch. Agree before you start.
- A touchdown is 6 points. Carry or catch the ball in the end zone. A kick after it adds 1, or a run or pass adds 2.
- A field goal is 3 points. Kick it through the posts.
- Your team gets 4 downs, or tries, to move the ball 10 yards. Do it and you get 4 more.
- Fail to gain 10 yards in 4 downs and the other team gets the ball.
- Only one forward pass is allowed on each play, from behind the line.
- A play ends when the ball carrier is tackled or goes down.

- Quarterbacks, look downfield before you throw.
- Receivers, run your route and look for the ball early.
- Tackle with your arms wrapped. Don’t dive at their legs.
