Grievance Officer

log8, a partnership firm in India. Office: Najafgarh, New Delhi 110043, India.
Write to the Grievance Officer with a complaint about content on log8, about your account, or about how we handle your personal data. Say what happened, where in the app you saw it, and the email you signed up with. Parents and guardians can write to the same address about a child’s account. The same details are in the app, under Settings, Grievance officer.
Reporting somebody or something
You do not have to wait for us. From inside the app you can:
- Report a message: press and hold it in a room or in a direct conversation.
- Report a conversation: open the menu at the top of a direct conversation. Choose Urgent if someone is in danger or a child may be at risk.
- Report a photo, note or comment: tap ··· next to it on the match.
- Report a person: open their profile, then the menu in the top right.
- Block a person: same menu. They can no longer message you, add you, or open a thread with you.
If somebody is in danger, contact your local emergency services first.
Common questions
What games can I log?
72 official games across team sports, racket and court games, combat, races and records, board games, cards, quick party games and esports, including cricket, badminton, tennis, boxing, running, FIFA, UNO, chess, and more. Each game has a How to play guide in the app. Don't see yours? You can also create a custom game from inside the app.
A result is stuck waiting for approval
A match is provisional until the other players approve it. It expires on its own after 48 hours if nobody acts.
I changed my mind about a result
Edit it. Edits need approval again, and everyone can see that it was edited.
My photo did not appear
Photos are scanned after upload and removed if flagged as unsafe. If a photo vanished, that is usually why.
I reinstalled and my old messages will not open
Reinstalling restores your message history automatically, because your key is backed up to your account. If an old message still can't open, it fills in once the other person's phone comes online.

Invites and places
How do invites work?
An invite asks your friends to play. Tap + in a chat (or More in a group), pick one or more games, a time and, if you like, a place, then send. Everyone in the chat sees a card and can reply Accept, Maybe or Decline. Set spots and people who answer after it fills join a waitlist and move up when someone drops out. Anyone who’s in can start a match or tournament from the invite, with the people who said yes already picked. Accepting means those people can add you to that match even if you’re not friends yet; results still need everyone’s approval. You get a reminder about an hour before.
What happens to my reply if an invite changes?
It stays. You’ll get a notification, and you can change your reply if the new time or place doesn’t work.
Why does log8 ask for my location?
Only to fill in where you played or where an invite is. When you add a place, log8 can use your phone’s location once to suggest an area name and a map pin. It asks first, only while the app is open, and never tracks you in the background. You can always type a place instead, or skip it.
Who can see where I played?
The people who can see that match, tournament or invite: the players, and the group if it was shared with one. If you create a share link, anyone with the link sees the place name and can open it in Maps. Pictures you share show the area name only. Nobody else sees it.
Can I turn off location?
Yes. Location is optional everywhere: skip the Location row, or tap × to remove it before you send. To stop log8 asking, turn it off in your phone. Android: Settings, Apps, log8, Permissions, Location, Don’t allow. iPhone: Settings, log8, Location, Never. A place already saved on a logged match is part of that record and can’t be edited in the app. To have one removed, email admin@log8.in.
Can I change where a match was played?
Not after it’s logged: the place is part of the record, like the result. You can change it up to the moment you send the result, and a tournament’s place until it starts.
