The basics
How to play Squash
The casual version of the rules. log8 shows the same guide in the app, on the game's page.
- Players2 players. Doubles squash is played on wider courts.
- How to winWin 3 games out of 5. Each game goes to 11 and you must win by 2.
- The official gameA referee can give you the point instead of a let if the other player made no effort to get out of the way.
- Take turns hitting the ball onto the front wall, above the low line and below the out line.
- The ball can hit the side and back walls on the way.
- Let it bounce on the floor once before you hit it, or hit it in the air.
- Serve with one foot in a service box. The serve must land in the back quarter on the other side.
- Every rally wins a point, whoever served.
- If the other player is in your way, stop and ask for a let. The point is played again.

- Get back to the T, the middle of the court, after every shot.
- Hit tight along the side walls.
- Mix hard drives with soft drop shots.

- Pick the game and the playersChoose Squash, then everyone who played. Friends without log8 can join as guests.
- Enter the resultRecord the winner, or the score of every set, game, frame or board.
- The other players approveFriends on log8 get 48 hours to approve it, or tap Disagree if it is wrong. Guests count straight away. A result nobody answers closes without counting.
- Your record updatesOnce it is official it counts toward your head-to-head records, group board, badges and cups.
