How to play Foosball
The casual version of the rules. log8 shows the same guide in the app, on the game's page.
- Players2 players, or 4 with two rods each.
- How to winFirst to 5 goals wins a game. Some groups play to 10.
- How groups differSpinning is banned in most clubs but allowed in plenty of offices. Agree before you start.
- Drop the ball in through the side hole, or serve it from the middle.
- Move the ball only with the players on your rods.
- Don’t spin the rod a full turn before or after you hit the ball.
- If the ball stops where nobody can reach it, serve it again.
- Whoever let in the goal serves next.
- In doubles, one player takes defence and the other takes attack.

Logging a game in log8
- Pick the game and the playersChoose Foosball, then everyone who played. Friends without log8 can join as guests.
- Enter the resultRecord the winner or a draw, with the score if you have it.
- The other players approveFriends on log8 get 48 hours to approve it, or tap Disagree if it is wrong. Guests count straight away. A result nobody answers closes without counting.
- Your record updatesOnce it is official it counts toward your head-to-head records, group board, badges and cups.
