How log8 scores Carrom
Record the winner, or the score of every set, game, frame or board.

- Record who won. Add boards won too if you like, say 2 to 1.
- No draws. Someone has to win the last board.
The basics
How to play Carrom
The casual version of the rules. log8 shows the same guide in the app, on the game's page.
- Players2 or 4 players. In 2v2, partners sit opposite each other.
- How to winPocket all your coins before the other side does. The red coin, called the queen, has to be pocketed and covered along the way.
- The official gameOfficial games go to 25 points over up to 8 boards. The board winner scores 1 point for each coin the other side has left, plus 3 for the queen if they covered it.
- How groups differSome groups let you pocket the queen any time. Others only after your first coin. Agree before you start.
- Each side gets a colour, white or black. White usually goes first.
- Shoot from your baseline. Flick the striker with one finger.
- Pocket one of your coins and you shoot again.
- Pocket the queen, then pocket one of your own coins on the next shot. That is called covering it. Miss, and the queen goes back to the middle.
- Pocket the striker and it is a foul. You lose your turn and one of your pocketed coins goes back on the board.
- Clear all your coins, with the queen covered, and you win the board.

Carrom tips
- Aim at the coin, not at the pocket.
- Use soft shots when a coin sits near a pocket.
- Cover the queen with a coin that is already close to a pocket.
- Leave the other side awkward shots, not easy ones.
